My Rating: 5 out of 5 Stars

My Review:

Wow, I LOVED this book! I don’t know what I was expecting but this book exceeded all expectations and made me fall in love with the characters and storyline.

How to Catch a Prince is the third book in the Royal Wedding series. I have enjoyed the first two books but neither of them caught my fancy the way this book did. If you haven’t read any of these books then I suggest that you do because they are some of the sweetest modern day fairy tale reads that you will ever find!

Once upon a time Prince Stephen and American heiress Corina Del Rey fell in love. However, pain and guilt drove them away from each other after Stephen’s tour in Afghanistan. They haven’t spoken in several years so when Stephen shows up at Corina’s doorstep and tells her they’re still married and he wants an annulment, Corina’s world goes spinning out of control. She thought she had put her past to rest so instead of signing the annulment papers, she goes back to Brighton to see if she can win back her husband. But the years have been rough on both Stephen and Corina and if neither of them are willing to put aside their past hurts, then there will be no future for them.

*Sigh* Have I mentioned I like fairy tales? Because I absolutely love fairy tales! This book had it all with a handsome prince, sweet romance and a magical feel to it. I am so glad I decided to read this book as it has made it’s way to one of my favorite contemporary novels. You’ll fall in love with the characters and your emotions will jump and slide all over with them. These aren’t just fairy tale characters that are perfect – these characters have their weaknesses and that helps them to be more believable.

[Book Review] Princess Ever After by Rachel Hauck

Princess Ever After

by

Rachel Hauck

My Rating: 4 out of 5 Stars

Imagine this, one day you’re working in a mechanic shop restoring classic cars and the next day you’re swept away to a new country where you’re told you’re a princess and you have all these new rules and regulations to uphold.

Such is the story of Regina Beswick. She is so excited about the beginnings of her new mechanic shop that focuses on restoring old classic cars. Then a handsome stranger named Tanner Burkhardt shows up claiming she’s a princess and wants to whisk her away to some strange new country. Regina decides to give it a try – after all, what girl doesn’t want to be a princess? However, when challenges arise, Regina isn’t sure she’s really up for this job and she dreams of returning to her home to pursue her mechanic job.

Who doesn’t love modern day fairy tales? I’m a sucker for fairy tales so of course I have absolutely loved the Royal Wedding series by Rachel Hauck. Each book gives you a warm feeling and sucks you right into the story so that you don’t want to leave. The characters Ms. Hauck has created are so loveable and they make you feel welcomed into the story. I love how each story represents separate couples but all the books are connected in a small way. I am looking forward to reading the third book in the series – How to Catch a Prince. All the books have such fun titles as well!

[Book Review] A March Bride by Rachel Hauck

A March Bride

by

Rachel Hauck

My Rating: 4 out of 5 Stars

My Review:

Many of us met Susanna and Nathaniel in Rachel Hauck’s Once Upon a Prince. I would definitely recommend reading that book before this novella because you will understand a lot more of what is going on in A March Bride. I actually started reading this novella without realizing it was a sequel to Once Upon a Prince but I was excited to dive back into the world of these beloved characters.

Susanna has been caught up in a whirlwind of royalty as she plans her wedding to King Nathaniel. Susanna begins to doubt whether Nathaniel really loves her and she starts to feel like she can never fit in with all the royalty around her. Wanting to sort out her feelings, she returns home to rediscover her identity. Fearing she won’t return, Nathaniel follows after her. Will Nathaniel win Susanna’s heart for good?

Fans of Once Upon a Prince will not be disappointed with this sweet sequel. I felt the story did a great job of answering some questions and tying up things after the first novel. I am so glad I picked this story up and am looking forward to reading more from this author.

[Book Review] Once Upon a Prince by Rachel Hauck

Once Upon a Prince

by

Rachel Hauck

My Rating: 4 out of 5 Stars

My Review:

Susanna is convinced that when her Marine boyfriend comes home from overseas he will be ready to propose. After all, 12 years of dating is enough time, right? But when they take a walk down the beach, instead of finding herself engaged, Susanna finds herself single and she isn’t sure what to think as her world turns upside down.

Prince Nathaniel has come to the States for a holiday. When he meets Susanna, he tries to hide his identity from her as he wants her to know him for his true self. However, as duty calls back home, Nathaniel’s identity comes to light. When Susanna is invited to Nathaniel’s coronation, Susanna travels to England. But Susanna is convinced that she could never fit in with the royalty around her.

What a sweet, romantic fairy tale! Who doesn’t love a dashing prince? I loved the idea of a fairy tale set in modern time. Rachel Hauck’s writing drew me into the story as I fell in love with the characters and setting. I’m not one to read contemporary novels on a regular basis but this was a refreshing story that had me smiling and laughing in all the right moments. If you’re looking for a wonderful story with a dashing prince and sweet heroine, look no further!
