My Rating: 4 out of 5 Stars

My Review:

A Match Made in Texas is a collection of four novellas. Each of these authors have written full length novels that I have enjoyed so I was eager to read these short stories as well. They were each sweet stories and fun to read.

A Cowboy Unmatched by Karen Witemeyer –

Many of us have met the Archer men in Karen Witemeyer’s novels Short Straw Bride and Stealing the Preacher. This novella features Archer brother Neill. When he’s enlisted to help a pregnant widow rebuild her home, he finds himself being protective over her when she is threatened by her father-in-law.

An Unforeseen Match by Regina Jennings –

Grace is going blind and thinks she needs a husband to help her get by. However, she learns to adapt with her failing eyesight. Clayton follows an ad for a handyman job to her house and the two form a friendship – or could it be more?

No Match for Love by Carol Cox –

There’s nothing left for Lucy in her hometown so when the chance to be an elderly lady’s companion arises, Lucy packs up and moves out. However, Andrew doesn’t think this refined lady is ready to care for his aunt as strange occurrences keep happening at her ranch.

Meeting Her Match by Mary Connealy –

Hannah has been playing matchmaker for her friends, but when the tables are turned, will she find love with the man she cares about?

Each of these stories are slightly connected and each story will leave you smiling and sighing. I love how these authors are talented enough to draw you into the story even though it’s a lot shorter than the novels they usually write. These authors all did a great job of introducing these characters and developing them in the short amount of time. I am glad I picked up this collection and am looking forward to reading more from each of these authors.

I received a free ecopy of this book from the publisher Bethany House through NetGalley in exchange for my honest review. I received no compensation for this review, nor was I required to write a positive review. All opinions stated are my own.
